Male goose sitting on the nest normal?

Our gander is fully committed to hatching our girls' eggs! My mom is worried about him and if he's going to be able to do it for the girls? Our friend thinks he's a transsexual goose, where he's a male but sometimes thinks he's a female? I don't know but I'm assuming he'll be fine! Hopefully our...

Ideas or thoughts about adding into existing coop!

This is our existing coop. We would like to take the nesting box off the back and cut into the backside to add a walkway/removable screen door for adding new chicks this spring/summer. We want it to be taller for more roosting bars and to make a better nesting box area where the roof doesn't...

Are my lavender orpingtons males or females??

We just bought these two yesterday and they claimed that they were 5-6 weeks old. I hope that they're pullets, because they also claimed they were 98% sure that they were. Thank you in advance!

Why is my gosling afraid of swimming in the water?

My one male Gosling freaks out when we put him in the bathtub or the kiddie pool with water. He's the only gosling that refuses to swim. His buddy loves swimming but not by himself sometimes. Why won't he just swim or walk around or float? He just wants out!:idunno

Ideas for a larger gosling brooder

My goslings are getting so big that their little heads touch the tops of the storage bin brooders. So we came up with a new and better idea so everyone can be happy and also so they can all be together. Today we will add the boys in. We will reintroduce the girls to the boys in the bath tub so...

I'm not sure who to dislike the hatchery, or the USPS..

A month or two months back we ordered 2 pairs of goslings, one pair being saddlebacks, and the other american buffs.. We ordered them through Ideal Poultry, located in Cameron, Texas. We were supposed to be notified when they were shipped, which was supposed to be March 4th, but instead they...

Has anyone bought goslings from Ideal Poultry?

Has anyone bought goslings from Ideal Poultry before? I have a few being shipped out today. I was wondering what your experiences were with their goslings and their services. This is my first time ordering poultry through the mail, and I'm extremely nervous about it. The temperatures are all...

    New goose owner

I own two Chinese geese who I keep in a separated part of the chicken coop and they have access to an outdoor run. I am receiving two Grey Saddleback Pomeranian goslings and two american buff goslings. I need to build them their own area, but I would also like to keep the breeds separated. I...

    TSC chicks!

We got 6 black australorps last night! We aren't sure of what vaccines they received from the hatchery. I know that they used Townline Poultry which is in Zeeland, MI. If anyone knows that'd be great! We never bought from TSC before. We've only bought chicks from our local Farm and Fleet, and...
