Hi

I have a white hen and a barred rock (black and white) hen that are less than 2 years old and need a home. I am moving in November. I can only take my current 3 hens (non egg laying, very old but are my sweet pets).
These hens were...

I posted my rooster for sale on the auction board. He now is attacking me. Not acceptable. I need to rehome him, unless he can be schooled to cut this out. We hatched him from 1 of 2 eggs (the other was a girl) when my hen went broody on us. He turned out to be a boy, so we went with it...
I have a flock with a Rooster that we hatched ourselves. Hes 1 year old. He used to be super nice to me but was wary of everybody else. As of yesterday he know attacks me and I wont tolerate that. My kids are afraid as he attacks them. It wasnt a big deal but now I cant go into my own yard...
I would like to plant some azalea bushes in my yard. In order to do so I need to put some special fertilzer in the soil to make it acidic. ITs a powder you mix into the soil when you plant. Is this ok for chickens to peck in? its says to keep away from kids/pets. I suppose you could put the...

Chicks are 2 weeks old. She is a good mom. Access to fresh water , crumbles and fresh fruit and veggies and bugs.
She is much thinner and comb is pink not red. Acts ok, just want to know if I should be worried.
Is this normal?
Thanks !

Hi
my new mommy - she hatched two chicks and they are doing great. Its been 12 days. Shes a fantastic mom.
I picked her up recently and she is definately not as meaty as before. Plus her comb is a little bit less red and more pink now.

Hi
We gave my broody RIR 3 fertile eggs to sit on- 2 banty and 1 RIR 21 days ago. Well one banty has hatched (oh my, so cute !!).
I have her in a cardboard box IN the coop and its lined with her oat hay nest that I moved into the box 3 days ago (thats what they use to lay their eggs in and...
One of my 4 RRR hens, Tarragon, has gone off the deep end. She no longer hangs with the flock but instead sits in the nest box 24/7. Whether there is an egg or not. Ive started taking her out in the eve as she doesnt even sleep with the flock on the perch anymore. I put her down, she drinks...
Im guessing an egg a day or maybe a day skipped here and there- so maybe 14 days old total.
Its in the upper 60s during the day and cold at night (less than 50F)
Are these eggs ok to eat? Should I use them in baking to be safe??
This chicken will just not conform to the rules of laying in...
Ive posted here before- was wondering why 2 of my 4 hens had stopped laying for a few weeks!.... later found a nest hidden in the ivy behind the garage with 30 eggs !! Cleared out the ivy that day.
