    Do silkies grow 10 times slower?

    My silkies are a week old and do not seem much bigger than when i got them. All my other chicks seems to grow overnight but the silkies don't seem to be growing the same? Is this usual?

    Lost three out of four of my babies this afternoon.

    Hubby left them unsupervised outside and I finally found one behind the wood pile but the other three are gone. All four of my big girls are fine and happy but three of the four babies are nowhere to be found!!!!!!

    She is Squatting!!!!

    My girls have not laid me one measly egg in four months....I put a light in the coop and added 5 hours of light and now one of them squats when I come to her. Their combs are starting to get red again with only still looking more pink than red. I hope this means eggs are coming again soon!

    It has been months since i saw an egg

    So my chickens were attacked by a raccoon in the fall and i have not seen one lousy egg since? do i have to wait for long days to see any eggs or are they never going to lay again? is my only way to find out a light in the coop?
