I have 15 easter egger chicks for sale, hatched 3/17 through 3/19. $3 each. Some of them are olive eggers. Please reply here or PM if interested. I can email pictures, I can't get them to post here.
Thanks for looking!
What is this chicken? It does not crow or lay an egg, but I saw it mount two hens today. I have no idea exactly how old this bird is, but has to be fairly young because there's no spurs, only small bumps, and that's assuming this chicken is male.
Now if I could figure out how to post pics...
I need your opinions. Are these boys or girls? The daddy is a black australorp and the momma is a barred rock ,which should be a black sex link, correct? Here's a pic of the 2 chicks in question:
They both look very similar to each other, so hopefully I didn't post the same chick...
I noticed my broodies were missing a chick. I found it laying on its belly with its legs straight out behind it. This baby is 1.5 old and has been outside with its moms (my 2 broodies are sharing 6 chicks) since day one. Seemed fine, eating and drinking until I noticed it was missing. Its...

I thought they would fight over them. One hatched her own, and I gave the other chicks from an incubator hatch that was due the same day. So far no fighting, but will the peace last? Is this normal, our do I just have extraordinary broodies??
They sleep together over the chicks, share food...

I have chicks hatching under a broody. Another broody insists on sitting on top of her. She caused a chick to have intestines squished out of its umbilical area. Its still alive and cheeping, but will it survive? Is there anything I can do for it?? Please help!!!!!
This chick is 2 weeks old. He hatched fine, his legs were straight, walking correctly and now has seemed to develop some very strange legs. The chicks are on a thick layer of pine straw and are fed chick crumbles. Out of three this is the only one that is having this issue. Here are some...
I have a broody with her single chick in a room (that is not being used currently for human purposes) in my house right now, in a dog crate, and have my incubator in the same room. I clean out the kennel and replace the pine straw so it doesn't stink, there's plastic covering the floor to...
One of the eggs that developed under my broody passed away before hatching. When I opened it up, the chick had no top to his head, only one eye was formed and a very small top beak. It had a grayish mass (brain??) at the top of his head and over where one eye should have been. The baby's...
What does the broody momma do with the egg shells after the babies hatch? I'm wondering if I need to clean out the nest for her or wait until I move her and the babies to their brooder.
Thanks for your help!

Can I collect/ save the eggs I get the same day I start worming my hens? I know the withdrawl is 2 weeks, but does that start the day after the dose of wormer or same day? Sorry if this is a silly question, but I just wanted to be sure.
I have a 17-month old sex link that is having issues pooping. She squats, almost like she's trying to lay an egg, and seems to strain to poop. A pinkish bulge comes out of her vent, then poo, and while still squatting, walks around and everything seems to go back where it's supposed to be...
