And we went to turn it on, and it has a dead pixel..
For most people it probably wouldn't be an issue, but for us techie people, it's a big deal. Now we're planning to take it back tomorrow, and hope they'll exchange it. Apparently one or two dead pixels isn't usually a valid reason to get a...
Have you ever driven by someone who is stopped on the side of the road, and then thought to yourself, "I hope everything's okay.. maybe I should go back and see.." but then you don't?
I always think that I should stop and help, but end up talking myself out of it. I'm not a huge person, so I...
My boyfriend and I made the drive from Indiana to Alabama.
It took 16 hours because our GPS decided to take us several hours out of our way to get to the interstate. We had some issues staying awake near the end and had to make multiple stops to get up and walk. Being awake for 20 hours...
Did anybody go get it, or have family members who did?
I pre-ordered it for my boyfriend and we got it in the mail yesterday morning.
That's all that he's done is play that game since he got it though.
How do you/they like it? Think it's better than Oblivion?
We're looking for an internet provider for the house we want in Alabama.
Apparently we can't have Comcast anymore, so we need to know where to look.
Any suggestions?
So I brought home a chicken (Silkie) from a family member about a week ago. I was holding it today and noticed bugs on me.
I checked the bird, and she's got them all over her. Checked my chickens and found none.
Here's a picture of them on my jacket.
Now.
Two questions..
1) what is the best...
I'm looking for someone near Clanton, AL that can watch my chickens (there's nine - only 3 largefowl) starting here in about three or four weeks. I can help pay for food, but I desperately need someone.
If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.
You can PM me for more details if you'd like.
uI am going to be moving out of state sometime within the next month, and need to quit one of my jobs.
It's not a super professional place, so how should I give my two weeks notice?
Do I write a letter, or just tell my boss to her face?
I actually really like my job, but obviously I can't...
My Silkie is walking around the coop funny. She's acting alright, but will squat like she's going to poop, but won't.
I'll see if I can get a video of her doing it.
A new gas station opened up yesterday, which led to a 'gas war' with the station across the street.
It got down to $1.99/gallon.. and I couldn't leave work to go get some.
But.
We did get lucky and got it last night for my boyfriend for $3.00/gallon when everywhere else is $3.47.
...but I had...
So I brought home a Silkie that lost it's chicken-friend to some sort of critter.
It was acting really weird, and I couldn't leave it there to be lonely.
Now I need to know whether or not this Silkie is a rooster/cockerel or a hen/pullet.
It's about seven months old.
Oh, and yes I know it has...
This got brought up at work a while ago and I'm curious to see what you guys do.
If you're driving and hit an animal and it doesn't die, what do you do?
Do you just keep driving, go back to "finish it off", or try to save it from dying?
Is this normal?
I have a BO and an OEGB that are moulting right now and neither one want to be messed with.
Either they'll run away (when they usually love attention), peck at you if you pet them, or "yell" at you for picking them up.
So what's their deal?
Is it normal for them to be like...
Why is it that people are there for you until something happens and things don't go the way they wanted them to?
I mean, unexpected things happen.
Why would they throw everything away over something silly?
So our system is down today. Has been for the past two hours (since I got here) and we're STILL sitting around with nothing to do.
We're on overtime too.
It seems like it's just an ongoing problem. Either it's down, or slow enough that it affects (effects?) production.
Why is it that a major...
Thanks to lovemychix!
I don't have a picture of them on my chickens yet, but I do have one of the diapers.
I came home from work tonight to this little surprise.
I can't wait to put them on my girls!

"Chickens have their own battle of the sexes, and scientists have discovered a secret strategy used by hens to control who fertilizes their eggs: After mating, hens can eject the sperm of less desirable, low-status roosters.
A new study has shown that, during an...
