I have been lucky to have not one but two peahens wander onto our property and stay here. This is the most recent hen and she is constantly *kissing* on my peacock. I've never seen that behavior with the other hens, I think she's totally into this guy, what do you guys think?
This is...

Just kidding - he did a complete roll over on his dirt bath and got up quickly with a look of total surprise on his face.
Whatchew lookin' at? Can I get some privacy here?
I have a one year old IB/BS peacock that I just caught up this morning. I will hold him for today only if someone wants him. He's healthy, free range and has been picking on my chickens so he's got to be gone by tonight. I live in Williston Fl.
Gone - Thanks!
After a bad hatch (my fault) the lone poult that has weaseled his way into our hearts. He's all alone so naturally he spends lots of time with us, he'll be a beloved pet the rest of his natural life.
I had toyed with the idea of raising the turkeys for food (grocery store girl here) but that's...
Thank you so very much for putting a smile on my face.
I just left my elderly fathers house after a meeting to sign him up with Hospice. I'm sitting at the intersection of SR40 and sw140th and smack in front of me I see a black Scion with a bumper sticker that said "Chillin with my peeps" and...
My apologies for the large photo but I wanted to show you these small creatures living on Floyd.

Yesterday I was fooling with the camera getting close ups and noticed these small whitish colored bugs crawling all over his face, can anyone tell me what they are...
Charmain is staying away from the house, not surprising because we have 4 dogs and 4 cats but she's been this route before and has done a good job raising her peeps. She comes in for water and has shown them where the feed is so I know they are eating and drinking. But more importantly she is...
Mother nature at her best.
I've been anxiously waiting to find this.
Now to find Charmain and her peeps and here she is, she only made it about 10 feet from the nest.
And a close-up.
I don't know how many peeps she has underneath her, there were 5 eggs originally. I don't want to annoy...
I was beginning to think Charmain wasn't going to lay eggs this year. The past few years she was hatching out her chicks in March and here it is June. I was wondering if she was maybe getting too old to lay, I have no idea her age because she is a stray that just showed up.
I noticed her...
Floyd here just turned 6 years old this month and he is starting to show his age. He's a good old boy and I hate the thought of losing him.
At the risk of sounding like a complete dummy.... what's the average lifespan of a free range, well fed, well adjusted RP turkey?
*uniquely patterned peacocks* mama is a black shoulder, papa is india blue.
2 hens and 1 cock, hatched in May, healthy and free range.
$20. each or $50. for all three.
Parable Number 1:
A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day.
A small rabbit saw the crow, and asked him,
"Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?
The crow answered: "Sure, why not."
So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested.
All of a...
First off I should apologize for posting pictures here and not interacting with you all.
I have to admit it's a little daunting coming to a BB and not knowing anyone.
I'll make an effort to post more.

On to the pictures but first a little background on Charmain the...
Sick of them yet? I bet you are, that's why I waited a few weeks before I posted them again.
Charmain looking at me as if to say "what, again with the camera?"
All six of them alive and well.
Exploring in the scary woods by themselves. Charmain has her wings full right now as...
Taken last night.
First time trying to roost in a tree by themselves, Charmain was in her usual spot on Tommy's stall, patiently waiting. They decided it was a bit too scary out there in the big bad world and hustled back to mama for safety.
All excited to be back with their mother...
