Thanks for the info about molting, Missy and Elizabeth. My girls hatched out in February, so maybe they won't molt until next fall. Peep_Show---you must have lived in Tercero! Aww, Missy, DEATH TO SQUASH BUGS!!! I had to go out and patrol for bugs and eggs. It took about a week (maybe 10 days), but I think we managed to round up and kill the ones we had here. Help!! 2 of my chicks have been pecked bloody!!
Glad to hear they're doing better! I had one bully chick that pecked another's tail feathers completely out, too. They were about 4 weeks old when it happened. We had to separate her until she healed enough that there wasn't any red showing (that makes all the others peck at it). I did the same...- StevieNay

Urgent: Duck w/ injured eyes and bill! What to do?!
It sounds very infected, so I think those antibiotic injections are the route I would go, too. Is the pus getting thick and goopy, like it might be drying on his face? If it is I'd try holding a warm damp washcloth on his face for a few minutes just to loosen up the gunk. So sorry he's going...
