White Mallards ducklings need a new home

They're living with three other adults right now, so they are used to being around multiple ducks. They get handled every day and are used to human contact. I would feel worried about sending them off to a farm that isn't really interested in them.

White Mallards ducklings need a new home

Thanks for considering them, but I'd prefer if they went to a home with other ducks. They are very social creatures, and I'm not sure if chickens would cut it.

    MALLARD THREAD...not rouens, Mallards!

I thought I would have room for them, but my pond can't keep up with the extra duck poop. The smell is overwhelming. I wish I could keep them though.

White Mallards ducklings need a new home

My White Mallards hatched out two ducklings about a month ago, and unfortunately, I do not have room for them. They are free to a good home. I'm located in Santa Barbara, California. I am willing to drive a bit to drop them off. Only giving away as a pair. Not meat birds.

    Decided to rehome my ducklings

I live in Santa Barbara. I was hoping to rehome them together. I'm sure it's very stressful living somewhere for a month with four other ducks, and them bam, one day, you're all by your lonesome with a whole new flock. I feel bad enough breaking up the family. I couldn't bear the thought of the...

White Mallard ducklings- one month old

My White Mallards hatched out some two ducklings nearly a month ago. I never sexed them, but one is larger and more daring. Not a sure bet, but I'm guessing one is a drake. They are free to a good home. I'll toss in my duckling feed too. Only giving away as a pair. I live in Santa Barbara...

    Decided to rehome my ducklings

After much thought and consideration, I've finally decided to rehome my two little white mallard ducklings. Here's what finalized my decision: An animal control person came today. Someone is complaining about a smell. I clean my pen every morning; hose down, new bedding, and clean my pond...

    MALLARD THREAD...not rouens, Mallards!

My little buddies are two years old. They were raised inside the house with me for the first year and basically never left my side. We have a very strong bond, but I can tell you that when ever wild mallards fly over or come to visit, they try their hardest to follow and fly away too. Its just...

    MALLARD THREAD...not rouens, Mallards!

Mallards can fly so Wing clipping is something you might consider. Everyone has different opinions depending on their environment. Some people who free range don't clip because they want their ducks to be able to get away from danger if a predator attacks. Because I live in the city, near busy...

    Do crows possess a threat?

I haven't seen a single sign of aggression, and I'm watching them all the time. Maybe when they grow a bit, my drake might then? But so far they all nap together in the sun. The adults make a circle around the babies when they do that. Its pretty cute. I'm trying to get a picture of that, but...

    Do crows possess a threat?

I didn't even know white mallards existed! I posted this one yesterday on a different thread. We're working on our routines and playing nicely together. The older three like to make me look bad infront of the newbies:rolleyes: You can see the crow in the back stragling near the end Of the video.

Newbie City Duck Owner!! Need advice!

Thanks! I'm still new to ducks and learning as I go. This place is awesome and has helped me with lots of questions. There are many different types of duck owners on here, some raise as livestock and others as pets, but everyone contributes their knowledge and experiences (even if its just cute...
