the funny thing is that we ARE alowed to have HORSES!! And no goats, or chickens. The rule is no split hooved animals, but horses make more noise, destroy the land, and eat alot. I just don't get it. 8(
We are already pushing our luck with chickens, because technically we aren't supposed to have them. But honestly, we weren't going to listen to that. And our neighborhood LOVES them. But would we be really pushing our luck with 2 nubian doe goats or would they be ok. We live on almost 3 acres.
Can i get, the electrick beetle green plumage at ideal?? You see, Ideal is REALLY close, and I like to make the journey from hatchery to house really short. But I would really like the cool plumage, and I was afraid it was only on show birds.
I have been interested in getting some east indie ducks some time soon. Does anyone have good experience with them??? I want a duck that will lay lots of oddly colored eggs!!
can you give me pictures of your goat fence. I'm getting nubians but have to build this thing myself. (I'm only 13) And you could give me instructions.
We reserved 2 nubian doe kids. And 1 has already arrived!!! We need to build a temporary pen for the little girls. The chicken coop is very big and predador safe (it was made of an old ancient barn found on our property (it is in amazing condition). And so since the coop is so big for our...
We have just shy of 3 acres.. And we live in the suburbs. Technically we can only keep single hooved animals (from what we remember, we lost the deed) But only an acre is fenced, and horses, I know, can turn it into a mud hole in no time. Well we have 12 chickens and the neighbors actually...
I want to raise some pigeons. I was thinking of letting them share the coop w/ the chickens. But I have seen that other ppl let theirs (the ones with a homing instinct) out to rome free.
I want to know which kinds have the homing instinct.
(I won't be keeping any overly unnatural...
Barry Koffler is willing to sell me a trio of penedesencas. He said he will ship them to me for the appropriate price. Or he has to be talked into it with the right $$$. About how much should that be. I know they are rare and adults, but Ive never ordered adults before!
They are creles...

We live in a neighborhood with 3 acres. Our neighbors actually love our chickens and their eggs! Well our silkie roo passed away and he was not really loud. We would really like to get another one. Maybe a big pretty faverolle roo. Are they loud and do they attack alot cuz our roo did...
silkies are extremely nice and they lay well but their eggs are SOOO small.
I would say my orp because they can be so affectionate but mine will wail and pase and cry as LOUD as she can until we let her free range.
My rocks are my best layers and nice. and wyandottes are up their but...
We have 13 chickens and we arent supposed to have 1! Our houses property used to be much bigger (it wasn't ours at that time) and then it got divided into neiborhoods. Their is even an old barn and on the floor of the chicken coop it has the initials of tom sebesta the guy in which our street...
We live in a neiborhood and we own 13 chickens illegally lol. Everybody around us always comments at how wonderfull they are and they even like my silly silkie roo's crowing! We have almost 3 acres and we just lost a chicken but a week later got 4 to hatch out. We really would like to have 2...
