2 of my 6 have continued to lay but I have not gotten an egg from the other 4 in a few days.

I think some of my eggs have been freezing but not enough to crack the shells. Also for hard boiled eggs I bought an egg cooker that steams the eggs then I throw them in an ice bath and once cooled the shells come off easy.

I got 4 ducks about a month ago got them their own coop and they just go into the chicken coop and sleep on the ground while the chickens roost. So they will just let you know what they want to do.
