My bantam has gone broody but has also stopped laying eggs (1 year old) no roosters around so is this normal also can anyone explain a broody buster photo would be great

Hi my chicken has somehow managed to get a bit of paint on her feather. It is tiny and you probably have to look closely to see it but it does annoy me causes her no bother and was wondering how to remove it? The paint is on a neck feather.
