Most likely won't heat peeping until day 21, you MAY see eggs rock a little on day 20... Try not to spray directly on the eggs because it can help bacteria into the eggs and can block pores in the shell slowing down the transfusion of oxygen into the egg. Instead, try using a wet sponge and just...
depends on what kind of eggs they are... quail (other than bobwhite) should see it now
chicken 21 days
pheasant 23-24 days
bobwhite 23-24 days
turkey 28 days
the feathers may be due to a curly gene??maybe not enough light? i think they need 16 hours of light to begin to lay eggs... how long is the heat light on??
I ordered some from eBay a little over 3 weeks ago. Ordered 90 and received 135 but one was broken I set 120, 24 were not fertilized, and after that, another 8 stopped early on... So if I'm counting right that's 88 left in the hatcher.... (they hatch tonight)
Not that I know of... I'm keeping mine seperate just because my chickens free range and the turkey won't because the number of wild turkey here, I don't want them to disappear
some people use them in larger aviaries as "clean up crew" they eat what the other birds are dropping... some have them as pets, i guess some might eat them, appetizers with bones??
its kinda a combination of both... great machines work better with competant operators. ive always heard that "tools are only as good as the mechanic" and the mechanic that can fix something specialized with minimal tools is just that much better
if anyone says anything, i would counter with the fact that commercial poultry operations are not permitted... but personal is fine, and yes you can sell eggs, well not sell but give away if they feel inclined tomakesmall donations to the chicken feed fund... then therreshould be no issues...
