A month a go my 4 BCM's laid 2 eggs but not an egg since. Why would they quit laying? They don't appear to be molting.

Each night we lose a chicken. The head is off and the insides eaten. We have good pen covered from top to bottom but know something probably small finding a way inside. Is it a weasel? That is the only thing I can think of right now. How do I catch it?

Anyone else have back copper marans taking their own sweet time about starting to lay this spring? I am hatching lots of breeds already but the marans are what most people are wanting and mine won't lay.

Just wondering, we keep a light in our coop during winter to have the 14 hours of light. Would it make any difference if we used LED bulbs? I wouldn't think it would but got to wondering.
