For anyone in Central Florida I am running a special as I need to drastically reduce my flock. 10 Ancona ducks near POL for $100. Blacks, blues, lavenders, chocolates. Should have enough to do 3 drakes and the rest hens. Can't do all hens sorry. PM if interested. They will be going to auction...
I have decided to sell my anconas. Most are at POL with some following close behind. I don't have an exact count on drake to duck ratio right now. There's Chocolate, black, blue, lavender, and lilacs. There's a chocolate drake and several hens several blue hens and drakes. I can try to get an...
No that is perfect. Follow clousert's directions to the T and I promise you will have a better hatch, we've tweaked around with it and these produce the best hatch rates for several of us.
I just got done trying to hatch upright, definitely lowered my hatch rate.
The humidity is good at 30%...
Awe don't you just love the little pied babies? That last one looks a bit like the one from you that feathered out so pretty. She's still my favorite. I'll have to get some more glamour shots of her. She's clearly pied, but I still don't know what to call her since her coloring is so light...
I don't even know how many I have anymore. Been hatching and selling them like crazy. They sell better as feathered out Juvies though.
I just hatched out five from shipped eggs, two are magpie/Ancona marked chocolates. Super excited about that.
The pieds from you are just beautiful. I cannot...
Awe lol. I got some too but only one egg is still going. That's forcing me to get more cause I can't have just one silkie!!! I'm assuming yours are from Alison too? My batch from her is due to hatch in roughly a week!! I'm so excited.
I feel your pain. My huskies ate my whole flock of anconas several months ago. Had to start from scratch. Mine was my own error (I know my dogs and they have a high prey drive), but doesn't make it any less painful.
Fingers crossed all goes well. Let me know if you want call duck eggs. I'm overrun.
