i have a RIR that gets nasty with my boyfriend, but not me. he picked him up once, by the legs and gave him a little carnival ride, round and round a few times, then put him on the ground. he behaves much better now and was NOT hurt.

i do have the pet glove already and will let you all know how it goes. i've always plucked bare handed but thought surely there is an easier way, without buying or building a plucker. rubber gloves i suppose would work too.

i will start processing my meaties any day now. i've always plucked by hand, and thought, what about using one of those pet gloves, with rubber knobbies on it, to do the job? anybody else done this? if not, i will use the one i have and post later how it worked out.
half egg snob here. the only time i buy store bought eggs is when i make deviled eggs, to take somewhere. they peel easier. my friends that i give or barter eggs to are egg snobs now too. my favorite meal is a fried egg and slice of homemade toasted bread.

i wish i had rode my sister and mother's paso finos. they have the smoothest gait of any horse. that was a time in my life where i had nothing to do with horses though. they have beautiful tack for these horses as well.
