    Duck lethargic and leaking

Thanks, I feel better being able to place a name to it. I may have to go out of state for the vet, the closest one that I know of is in jersey. Hopefully we'll get her there by Wednesday.

    Duck lethargic and leaking

My buff Orpington is 1.3 years and she has recently become ill. She stopped laying eggs and is leaking a clear, egg-white like fluid from her vent. I don't feel anything lodged in her, so I don't think she has anything stuck, although last year she did have an issue with that. She has also...

    Bumblfoot turned into blister?

I've been treating one of my ducks for bumble foot, soaking her foot in Epsom salt water and limiting the amount that she walks. She's gotten better, I haven't noticed as much limping, but where the bumble was it now looks like there is a fluidy blister. Any suggestions as to what my course of...

Dirty Duck Thread - Add your own pics!

Yeah, at night they go in their coop with the door closed. I like to let them stay up late and I hang out with them when it gets too dark out, especially on nice nights

Dirty Duck Thread - Add your own pics!

My two Buff Orpingtons. They love the mud after rain, and they use my pool cover as a pong instead of their actual pond (when it's not frozen). Sometimes they'll surprise whoever's in the basement by pecking at the little window and eating the cobwebs there. Dorks!

Why don't my 25 day old ducklings like to go outside?

I agree. My 7 month old sucks usually prefer when I am with them to roam the yard, otherwise they stay in a 3-4 yard area near their coop.

    Duck not laying, low tummy

My seven month old buff Orpington hen has stopped laying eggs over a week ago and her stomach is laying lowish to the ground, kind of like an egg is sitting in it. She is still happy, active, spends time outside and in water and cleaning herself and hasn't had a drop in appetite from what I've...

    Duck throwing bedding over back?

Lately my six month old Buff has stopped laying and stays in the coop and covering herself with bedding. When she goes outsie she will also throw leaves and grass behind her as she walks, like she stills wants the cocoon around her. any thoughts on what this means/ what I should do?

    Winter

I've got two Buff Orpingtons, they're both three months old. I've looked at some other threads about winter weather, but I still worry. I live in Pennsylvania, so our winters aren't the worst, but they're not easy. My ducks love swimming in a little duck pond we put in. Last night it frosted...

    New Duck Owner, Health Questions

I recently got two Buff Orpington ducklings. they are just three weeks. I believe one of them has thrown up twice, so I have some questions. My google searches have shown that ducks will sometimes do this if their crop is full and has been stroked, but I just want to know if when that happens...
