I got 4 chicks at Easter. One is a Welsummers. She is sweet. My daughter named her, Chipmunk because of her coloring. Now we call her simply Chip.

Our dog is a mini pin mix that we got from a rescue group when he was a year and a half. He is so sweet with kids and has always been very obedient, so it totally shocked us when he killed the chicks. We keep the chickens in the coop when he is outside and we lock him in the house when we let...

That is awesome! I will look up his video! My dog already killed 2 chicks a couple of months ago and I am fearful of what he will do if he ever gets another chance like that. We have kept him separated from the chickens but I am sure there will come a day that he will find a way to get to them...

Thanks I will try that. Yes, I definitely keep them separated. And he has been getting a little better I think, but I will never fully trust him. I learned my lesson the hard way.
