    Horribly Bareback Hens Help?

    I have used the aprons on one of my girls when she was healing from a hawk attack. I was able to put her back in with the flock and now after three weeks of healing and new feathers coming in she no longer needs it. I made my own. Fleece material works best and you don't have to sew anything.

    Sorry I haven't updated but we did go get two 5 day EE. Mamma took them in and they are doing great! Mamma (little bit is her real name) has been fantastic! I really like how easy it is to have a hen do all the work! We are still enjoying all the fluffy butt cutness!

    At 8 weeks I would think they would be fine. At that point they are fully feathered. Have they been outside on "field trips"? I ask because we put ours out at 6 weeks and it was still getting down to around 45-48 some nights but I had been bringing them outside since week 1 when it was warm...

    I don't know if this will help but just the other day we had the same issue with one of our cream legbars. She sat in the box for a bout two hrs....no Egg! The next day she was standing with her eyes shut and not acting normal. This is what we did...and we wernt sure if she was Egg bound or just...

I have found a whole bunch of nothing online, and seen pictures of young RIR's that look the same (with big red d combs) that turn out to be a hen....I would guess Roo for you. I'm in denial on mine....:(mine are 9 weeks...

    I am a nervous/anxious mess! One of my girls went broody and we decided to let her sit on 7 eggs. We removed 3 at day 14 that were quiters so now she has 4 left under her. It's day 18 and I can't wait to see if any hatch! I really hope she atleast gets one to hatch!
