well this morning she wasnt energetic and not making a fuss like normal, she kept opening her mouth as if about to spit up again
but i got home from school and she was back to herself, and she wasnt acting like she was gonna spit up...but still, im concerned about why her keel is so...
Well I know they cant swallow like we can, so they sometimes spit up kind of
I didnt smell it, it was on the cold, earth floor and I wanted to show my dad asap...
Idk about sour crop, but I noticed her crop was round a cushy
There are a few "pied" but they are so subtle no one notices....pied as in blue indian but they have white primaries (in males, these feathers are like an orange almost) and the most ive seen are those feathers and a little lick on the neck of white, he hangs at my house and I call him Pie...
Oh, god, I hate when people think eating them is a solution. Im in High School, but in my previous school, I was picked on and made fun of and had NO friends whatsoever....my family was a pain in the ass and ignored me because Im very different from them. So without friends and hell from...
I have had Sikers, Silkers, my Silkie, for only about a year now, she turned 1 year this Oct.....
She has always had a problem perching because her wings are furry, right? Even with help of a latter, I have to put her to the highest perch at night manually.
Well, tonight. I went down to the...
I do too >< dangit she ruins my other birds beautiful feathers which have just been moulted and are, well, were, looking all nice and shiney and perfect
Stupid Kehk!
It cant be boredom cause theres so much room and space and stuff to do, and minerals, im sure she gets enough of since we feed...
It must be a dominant hen thing then weird....
She hasn't done it since, and never before. She just suddenly crowed twice one morning, and then that was that. hahah
Unless she was having some demonic seizure :| hahah jk

Yea, I want tame ones, I can attract tons to my yard with food hehehe, but taaame ones :[ ones you raised that are close to your heart and have meaning to you<3
my dad wont let me have anymore because Im not sure he is the biggest...
I used to raise them all the time but my dad got stricter since I got chickens
"You have chickens now, we dont need peacocks"
I used to have the nicest boy, Rocky, when I was 10.
Then I got Lucky a couple years ago, and Zip, male and female
In an area where there are many peacocks, I usually...
I just got two chicks from my old teacher/friend who raises buttons (my dad calls them butt-hole quail ), and they are now full grown, and last night I checked their aquarium....

It was sitting in the corner behind the ferns I gave them!! It was so cute, tiny, dark brown with speckles...
So I went down to the coop a couple mornings ago, and my BB red hen, Little Girl, was crowing!! I've had Little Girl for a few years now, and she's laid eggs, I've witnessed this. She's gone broody, she's everything a hen is supposed to be, so....
why did she crow?? I havent heard her ever...
So I have this hen, Kekh....
she likes to EAT feathers.....
She will catch those I pull from birds or the feathers that fall when others are preening.....
But then she is SO obsessed, she will go in search of feathers...
they can't be old, dirty ones from the ground....
she has been going up to...
Silkers: Silkie hen, keeps sneezing, its dry, no running of the nose, no yawning, no nothing except dry sneezes. She is also pretty skinny compared to the rest of my hens but maybe its just the breed? shes my first silkie! Love her to death<3 anyways, yea, but she also shakes her head a bit...
Once my brown breasted red hen molted....but only her neck at once.....poor thing lost evrry feather on her neck and I laughed at her and called her a vulture then the pretty, new shiney feathers grew in and she was beautiful again!!
