My Coturnix quail started hatching yesterday and some have now been in for almost 24 hours now. ofcourse new ones are hatching as I type. When is it safe/recommended to remove them? I remember reading that thier yolks feed them for 3 days after hatch (Or is that just chickens?).

So, I put my coturnix quail eggs into lockdown on sunday. on wednesday my button quail eggs go into lock down and then the chicken eggs go in on the next sunday, FOLLOWED by three duck eggs..LOL..

These are some wonderful eggs. I put 4 in my bator and 3 are developing. The potential fathers are either a khaki campbell, or a jumbo pekin. The mother is a khaki campbell.

Would it be bad to add some kind of food coloring or something to tint the water, after a day of running my LG I cannot see where the water line is in the bottom.
