Thanks for the advice, The foot does not feel warm and is not swollen in comparrion, its just a small area surrounding the wound, I do know a vet but wheather they know anything about ducks is the question. I will keep the run clean and as dry as possible with british weather. I will try some of...
Currently I dont have the means to get a picture, but the wound looks like a paper cut partly seperated, it looks clean and we have applied an ointment to it.
I have just returned form purchasing 6 ducks 2 welsh harliquin, 2 appleyard and 2 khaki campbell. On return I discovered that one of the Welsh harliquins refused to put its weight on its feet. Upon inspection it seems to have a slit on the middle joint of its middle foot, with swelling around...
Thanks everyone for the resposes, Yep im in the uk and ducks are very hard to find here. I like all your suggestion but my resivations with pekin is arent they quite big and muscovies are extreamly hard to were I live. I think im sold on the harliquin if I can get some.
Cheers, whats the temperment like with these two and how hard are they to purchase. Like costs and such? also I was planning on getting 6 is there need for a drake.
Mixture of Eggs and Pets not meat though they dont all have to be massive egg layers but I want a variety, also living with neighbours close by noise is an issue.
I am going to purchase 6 new duck, ideally 2 of each breed. I was wondering if batams such as mini appleyard duck were able to go with khaki's and harliquins.

Give her time, my khaki campbell, hatched 19, 2 died, 1 straight after birth, another from being squished, but aslong as they have enough space and time, it will be ok, but have the brooder on the ready.
