    BANTAM COCHINS CLUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, they'll be hatching BBS. People around here do that with all the breeds. Call them blue. I think because their hens doing the laying are blue? I was confused when I first encountered it with Marans and thought I was getting all blue! Lol.

Help! First time to incubate duck eggs

For duck eggs that aren't Muscovy, when do you stop the hatch. Today is day 28 for me. 3 of 6 hatched yesterday and nothing today, no pips. Should I give another day?

    Farm innovations 4250 incubator

Mine is being pretty consistent through several hatches. Only thing is I have to set the innovator's temp to 101 to get it to an actual 99 degrees. I check it every time with another gauge for at least 24 hours. Other than that, works well and turner is still working good. Have some ducks on...

    Incubating mallards humidity

I'm hatching my first set of ducks and am currently in lockdown mode. They're due Monday and humidity is sitting at 73%. I hope I get a couple to hatch. I have 8 and 7 weee definitely fertile. One more I think is questionable, it may have quit, but I left it in there anyway....just in case...

BLUE ISBARS - Pictures and discussion

I have some barnyard mix (barred rock over black australorp and Rhode Island Red) chicks in with my isbars that I hatched altogether. Not smart on my part. Mostly black chicks and possibly 2 or 3 black isbar that I can't pick out. In time, will it be easy to pick out the isbars from my mixed...

    September 2016 Hatch-A-Long

Just finishing up day 23 in the bator. Had a barnevelder hatch this morning. Was going to pull the plug in the remaining eggs, opened up the lid to pull eggs out and noticed an egg pipping... Hopefully this little one isn't too weak. Altogether for this hatch, 13/15 of my own barnyard mix...

    "DRY INCUBATION"

Up to 75% for my Barnevelders and 55% for my isbars for shipped eggs using "dry" method. My own barnyard mix, I had 13/15 hatch.

    "DRY INCUBATION"

My shipped eggs are from the same shipment. I have 5/11 (45%) on my isbars and 2/4 (50%) on my Barnevelders. Another barnevelder was just pipping as I was leaving for work this morning. So with any luck that one will be out when I get home and make 75% hatch rate for them. Today will be...

    September 2016 Hatch-A-Long

Went into lockdown last night, technically it was day 17. Something kept nagging me to do it, so I did. Live Mas?! 16 shipped eggs and 15 of my own barnyard mix. I'm waiting patiently to hear little peeps! Tried the "dry incubating" method for first time also. Hope I didn't stretch too...

Anyone else have any thoughts on going into lockdown on day 17? Will it hurt anything?

    "DRY INCUBATION"

I'm on day 17 trying this dry incubation hatch; first time. Humidity has fluctuated 30%-45%. Going into lockdown tomorrow and bumping to 65-70%. Have 16 shipped eggs and 15 barnyard mix of my own. *fingers crossed for a descent hatch rate*
