It is squishy but won’t push back in. When you flip her over it will fall back into place. Also, a daily layer and no issues ever laying. I usually handle her daily she is one of my first chickens and it wasn’t there yesterday. Just found it strange that it was there after this attack.
My Golden Comet was attacked this morning, only damage was pulled feathers and this weird bulge. The bulge wasn’t there yesterday. It’s hot to the touch. Acting like her usual self.
My Barred Rock, Bossy has been laying weird shaped eggs for the past two weeks. Is this normal because she’s still young, or would she be lacking calcium, maybe? Also, I have a Barred chick who spends a lot of time puffed up and sleeping, all her group usually explores and she’s standing in the...
Thank you, I didn't figure they were very old, not too many feathers yet, just fluff. We have a soerate room in our coop if need and we use large pin for introduction, so hopefully all goes well when they get bigger.
I was curious to find out if there is a way to age chicks. I picked some up from a local farm store and I'm not sure of their age. I myself have had them about a week, but I do not how long they were sitting at the store. I have 4 barred rocks and 2 austrolops.
I would also like to know when it...

The vet didn't have any ideas, however, I did her vitamins twice through out the day yesterday and once again today at 2am and gave her yogurt both days. This morning I woke up to a standing, no noodle neck chicken. Yesterday, I honestly didn't think she would make because she wouldn't eat or...
Thank you I will. My aunt works at the ASPCA and a vet clinic she is going to ask the head vet today if he has any thoughts or suggestions. I will keep my post updated.
I have no idea they free range all day and I let them in at night. We have about 10 acres, but I did a walk to their usually spots and didn't see anything noticeable. We do give them fruit and veggies on occasion as their treats and corn on the cob, but it is usually fresh from the fridge and...
She ate scrambled eggs last night and drank decently still has thr bright eyes and doesn't act distressed. However, she doesn't try to walk anymore just stand and her neck just curls and hangs, been thinking about making something for her neck like bubble wrap or a toilet paper roll to hold it up.
