I'm on day 23 with incubating chicken eggs, i had 3 left in the incubator that were showing no signs of hatching, no rocking, no peeping, no external pip today so i candled them and 2 were for sure dead, one was showing a lump inside the air cell and i could see movement but no beak like you'd...
I need opinions, does my mini horse look pregnant?
We purchased her in October and the women we bought her from said she could be bred and IF she is she would be due early or mid July.
I've been really considering getting a turkey, a bourdon red. Can they live peacefully among chickens? I was planning on getting one whenever they are available at my local feed store. But is it a bad idea?
If i were to order chicks right now from Meyers, when would i receive them being its kind of a off season?
I have a broody on some eggs now that i would like to sneak some new babies under her so by spring they should be well established. The eggs under her now are supposed to hatch January...
I have a silkie/bantam cochin mix laying on a few eggs, i have 2 roos that could be the daddy. One is a black cochin bantam and the other is a grey naked neck silkie. I'm thinking the daddy is the NN because she is one of his main ladies. But there is also the possibility they could be my black...
I have a broody hen sitting on some eggs, has been for 4 days but is it normal for the rest of the hens to stop laying when another hen goes broody? They were all laying everyday or every other day right up until my one hen went broody. I know its winter time but i live in SE GA where winters...
Later tonight will make day 20 for my eggs, what should i be expecting? Idk if any are internally pipped because i have had them in lockdown since day 18 and I'm to scared to open the incubator and candle them because i don't want to possibly mess something up and they not hatch, i seen one...
Today makes day 10 for my eggs in the incubator, the air sac is the size of a quater, from what I've seen that seems small. Idk if egg size has anything to do with it because they are small eggs, half the size of a normal sized egg.
Hey all! Can someone please post some pictures of some of their fertile or infertile eggs during the first week of incubation so i can get an idea of what to look for when i candle.
Hey all! I purchased a Little Giant Still Air Incubator and was wondering if it was a good incubator?
Also, i have my eggs in there now that have been in the there for 24 hours, what day can i candle them and begin to see life forming?
