    Supplemental light for winter laying

    this is our first year w/ chickens...we have decided to "light 'em up".... however only in the morning...that way they still are able to put themselves away for the night w/out getting caught on the floor when the light suddenly goes out we are going to keep them on a 14 hour daylight schedule...

    applesauce is in the making...will get canned tmw... should be about 10 pints... already made fried apples...of course...half of them got eaten before they made it to the canner....lol DH had them on ice cream one night and the next morning made pancakes...guess what the topping was...lol...

    8/8 large brown egg layers 1/1 medium white 4/6 bantys plus we just brought home 5 new layers yesterday....and surprise surprise!!!!!! i got 4 eggs from them tdy...will see what happens tmw...was fully expecting not to get any from them for a few days
