    Duck acting weird?

After someone clipped her wings, the wrong way might I add, one of our ducks has been acting weird. She’s been laying down all day and she hasn’t been as active as usual, and won’t move her wings. I don’t know if these two things correlate (the wings and the behavior), but I know they both...

    My chicken died. What happened?

One of my chickens passed away today. Since ive been really distracted lately I never noticed anything wrong with her. She ate normally and drank water. For the past two days she didnt lay any eggs, but she would stand in the nesting box with another chicken. She’s an Easter egger and she’s one...

    Female duck mounting drake?

I was outside replacing our ducks water, when I saw Daffy (my female duck) trying to mount the drake. I’m so confused. I’ve heard of females mounting other females, but never this! What’s going on? Should I be worried? I also have pictures of either of them just to make sure I have the genders...

    What is this bird?

My daughter found a baby bird in our yard, there’s three in our garden, they don’t have a mother bird, and I’m curious to what it is. it can’t fly, and when we go near it, it runs around to escape us, and tries to jump and fly. this is the only way to get a picture or it will escape, so I can’t...

    Broken leg???

There’s swelling in the upper leg. I would post a video of her walking, but I’m not currently at home so I cannot do so. Also, any time she lays down she lays on her side. Specifically the side without a broken leg. When she walks, it’s more of limping or hobbling and when she’s standing still...

    Broken leg???

I think my duckling might’ve broke or dislocated her leg. She isn’t acting like she’s in too much distress though except sometimes she’ll peep a bit louder and she stomps around a lot and won’t lay down unless I’m holding her. Here are some pictures. If it’s broken, what do I do? I don’t think...

    Are these ducklings overheated?

They do have a small pool, it’s about 2 1/2 inches deep, if that’s good

    Are these ducklings overheated?

We have them in a different spot, but right now we have to put them in here since it’s being cleaned. It’s much bigger than this

    Are these ducklings overheated?

We recently bought two ducklings for the first time, so I’m new to duck keeping. I’m not sure if it’s just me but these ducklings look overheated. Are they too hot? And if so how can I cool them down? I tried moving the brooder further from the heat lamp, but they’re still acting like this...

    Easter egger pecking eggs!

She’s about 8 months I believe. I’m not sure exactly how long she’s been laying, but I think she started around 19 weeks. The shell is not thin either. I did not see her peck the hole, but the hole is always perfectly round so it must be her beak.

    Easter egger pecking eggs!

She isn’t eating them. I also have a fake egg in there already, but it isn’t colored like their eggs so she probably knows it’s fake.

    Sweet pea

HAH! I love her! Maybe sweet pea can learn a thing or two next time biscuit steals her nesting box.

    Jelly Bean Growth Thread.

I had a rooster named jelly bean! He was my favorite because he was really nice to everyone and never hurt them despite what I’ve heard of roosters.

You know your part of the flock when............(what is your story)

You know you’re part of the flock when you get treats from your pullets. Edit: rooster challenges me, then proceeds to mount my arm. Either I’m part of the flock or he’s bipolar, lol.

What did you do with your flock today?

Ducklings went swimming for the second time, they are messy and loving it. Other than that our chickens have been enjoying our compost.
