    Short day light may be the main reason. Hens need at least fourteen hours of day light otherwise they'll lay very few or won't lay at all.     The one on the right comes from one of my RI red or stars. The one on the left is the third egg of my Black Copper Marans. I've got two EEs and two BCMs from My Pet Chicken least June. Only one started laying eggs so far. I hop these eggs will get bigger but the color is nice.
