I built my incubator by following Miss Prissy's 'Chic Chick Bator' instructions. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=8510 I added a small hatch on the side for easy turning of eggs without letting all the heat out. Worked pretty good :) I hatched my first batch of eggs. On...
Punnett Squares showing different color/pattern genes and how they work. I have tried to use the proper letters to represent the genes, though my earlier ones are probably off, but, you get the idea ;) I just learned how to do these, so, if you see any mistakes, please let me know :)...

Am having similar issues with my tom being aggressive....especially when I wear my brown coat and/or red gloves. I want to keep him, but we do free range. He is easy enough to catch each day...so I think I will build a pen for him this spring and round him into it each morning and then turn him...
Saw the episode! I'm glad some of the great folks of the BYC were able to help out!!!! I'm sure it was a huge relief to know that people who really cared and understood were on the job!
From what I understand...... the pigeons will not stay until they start breeding. You will probably at least have to confine them until they start a small flock I would think. But, I don't own any pigeons yet..... so hopefully someone will have more/better info for you

I honestly don't know I got them at the MI BYC get together. I'll have to hunt down the gal I bought them from and see what she can tell me. The hen has the EXACT coloration. Same white patch on a red tail. I'm not sure what a Harlequin turkey looks like... I'll have to look into...
Thanks for the replies My pair are just for my own flock... not show. I was just wondering what to expect. Both their personalities are so great, I wouldn't trade them for anything
I have a tom that is less than a year old. I've included a pic of him. I noticed online that some have all white tail feathers, some are red, some are mixed and some look just like my tom's tail... all red except for that middle few. My question is...... what is ideal? And, does it change with...
Hey... where's the cheapest place to buy a large live trap? I'm looking at a 2 pk (has a small trap with it) at the Farm store for $35.... is that a good deal?
Also..... anyone have any Guineas that are feathered out and ready to go outside... but not fully mature, that they'd like to sell? My...
