My only advice is to learn from your past mistakes. We've all been there. Trust me. And remember, animals that hurt or kill your chicken are just acting on there built-in
instinct. It's really no different than your chickens feverishly eating and killing everything in there sight and eating it...
Yes at that young age you can mix them immediately. Make sure there's plenty of clean water and food so they don't have to fight for it and you should be fine.

I merged 6 new chicks to an existing flock of 7 (1 1/2 year olds) a few months back.
I believe I did everything right regarding the merge.

I have 8 chickens, 2 buff's, 2 Del's, 2 Rhode's and 2 Bared Rock's. The Delaware's are sooo loud and noisy. They just screech non-stop when they see you.

What are you feeding them, I feed my chic's everything and they seem to lay at 16 weeks. They get there normal feed, but they also get
whole corn on the cob, any lawn grass, tomatoes, blueberries, strawberries, melon, old cereal, old bread, all veggies, etc...
Maybe different food would help...
Mine started laying at 16 weeks. Surprised me also. I have Buff's, Rhode Islands, Delaware's and Bared rocks. Eight total.
The first egg was rolling around in the mud, I've sense opened up there nesting boxes and now there laying daily.

I live in Michigan, don't believe the skylight would bring direct/strong light into the coop. Based on it's location to the sun.
