My eggs today and it isn't even Easter yet.

Check out the eggs I got today. the 2 light colored are silkies and the 3 on the right are easter eggers....all from cackle hatchery. I have been so happy with these hatchery birds. The silkies are gorgeous, the EE are all laying blue/green eggs and they are great egg layers.

So i had 2 broody EE and I broke them. They are no longer hanging out in the nest boxes and today they even went to the roost at night (last week they have been trying to sleep in nest boxes). How long does it take for them to start laying again? I tried to search but couldn't find anything.

Does anyone know the average size if different bantam breeds? We love the bantams because they are more manageable size wise for our kids but would like to avoid bantams with really small eggs. From the pics that I have seen: ee, Bo, silkies seem to have decent egg size for bantams. Any other...
