Thanks for looking.
I have 5 Incubator Thermometer & Hygrometers model (3018) that I purchased new from Cutler supply and would like very much to sell as I am no longer doing incubation and raising birds because of health reasons. I think $9 each is a fair price. They are $23 new plus...
Sorry you are having problems. As far as GQF getting back to your email, it's not likely. There customer service is about the worst in the industry. You buy one of their units and you are on your own!
What I have is 82 eggs total. I was just not sure with all the egg shells being in there with them if you could in fact put 41 eggs in a hatcher. One batch is 4 days behind the other which is a problem. I was just NOT thinking,
I have a question I would like some opinons on.
A GQF 1588 and other styro incubators for the most part hold 41 eggs in the turner.
When it is time to stop turning on the 18th day and go to the hatch stage.......considering you are not going to open the incubator for all practical purposes...
Hi All.
I left my camera at my office so at the moment I do not have a picture but wondered if someone would take a shot a telling me what these little guys might be by the description, some aspects which appear to be unique.
First, at a farm auction I bought, from a elderly lady, two dozen...
I can tell you from experience I have a really hard time candling these when I run them. I have just taken to putting them all in the hatcher at day 18 and just seeing what happens. Wished I had a better answer but I just can't see inside them.
Good Luck
Just wondered if anyone out there in BYC land has the instructions for setting the DIP switches on a GQF 3256 thermostat. I have one of these in a homebuilt cabinet incubator I purchased a while back and it worked great. The door was open and one of my friends child thought it would great to...
I am REALLY looking forward to coming down from Lower Slower Delaware. Just found out about the show from a good friend in Pasadena Maryland that is coming down.
If anyone has a quantity of should be fertile Rhode Island eggs they would be selling I sure would like to get about 6 or 7 dozen. I...
Being a new member I was saddened to read about all the efforts the ower has put into this site only to have to place restrictions on peoples posts, avatars and picture posting because of internet "Bad Apples" that have nothing better to do than leave spam messages.
I have been raising specialty...
I am lucky enough to live in the woods and have a abundance of branches. I have them tacked in my coops in several different ways. They are usually around 2 1/2 inches at least as the chicken likes to sit on it's feet so making them bigger makes for easier sitting...at least they seem to think...
The last for batches in my 1588 have been at 35% until day 17 and then up to 85% for the hatch. Out of 42 eggs in the last batch 36 were fertile and forming at day 10 and out of that I had 32 hatch. It does not get much better than that. I for one will never go back to wet incubation.
I use it "without fail" in all my waterers. It keeps out the scum and kills the bacteria. I use it at 1 teaspoon per gallon in the water. I have used it for years and will never stop using it. Yes, I pay $29 a gallon. It goes a long ways and is worth EVERY CENT!
It seems that for the most part when people get them, and get them set up they are not happy with them. You can get some good advice here as well as Google them and look at the reviews.
Good luck whatever choice you make.
