Beautiful!

And as a side note, I don’t know if anyone uses Craftsy, but they have their fabric, kits, and notions on sale right now until the 25th for pretty good prices.
Happy Friday everyone! :)
I do have those, the trouble I am running into is when trying to use the technique of folding the fabric before cutting to get a long, continuous piece (whether for border or binding.) It usually ends up looking a little wonky instead of nice and (mostly, lol) straight. Any pointers? :)
Yes! I have also heard of people using old sheets or a single layer of flannel as batting, to make a nice lightweight summer quilt. I have never personally tried it (it’s quite cold where I live,) but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work.
And hello again everyone! Just catching up on what I’ve...
Exciting! I just hatched out AC a few days ago. They’re such pretty little birds. :)
:celebrate:celebrate:celebrate Keep us posted!
You’ll have to let me know how it works out with incubating in the egg cartons. I have thought of trying this a few times, so I’m curious to see if you find it...
:welcome
I’m sure you will find lots of information in the forums and articles here on BYC. The folks here are friendly and informative as well.
As far as saving money with chickens, I would say it’s possible depending on how you approach it. For me it’s just a hobby though, and I have never...

This is what we use in the winter time. You have to use a metal waterer with it. But it works great. :)
Yup! They’re Ayam Cemani. :)
I didn’t know you were hatching a blue as well! Do they look very different as chicks than BCM’s?
Thank you! It’s okay, I won’t complain about 8/15 on shipped eggs. Just hoping my little flipper chick can pull through okay! :) It’s perking up a bit, but it’s one...
Yes, there was nothing. And now that all of the other chicks are in the brooder, I’m not seeing any wobbling either. I’m pretty sure they’re gone, but figured I’d give it a little more time before unplugging the incubator.
Been trying to get some good pictures of these chicks and it’s tough...
Can you see if it ruptured the outer or inner membrane? If the membrane is exposed I’d rub a little Vaseline on it to keep it moist. :fl it does alright!
The three left in my ‘bator aren’t showing any internal pips or movement either. Did a quick candle after all the others had hatched out. Figured I’d leave them until tomorrow and if there’s no change I’ll try making a peep hole in the air cell to try to see if there’s anything going on in there...
Your MHP is looks great! Will be much easier to clean that way too. :)
I bet your eggs will be totally fine. I think they’re pretty tough little customers at that point. At least I hope so, given that the chicks drying out in my ‘bator are playing soccer with the ones who have yet to hatch...
Nice! :thumbsup
I’ve had three hatch, one I was able to watch last night and then of course the other two hatched out while I was sleeping. What’s that old saying, “a watched kettle never boils?” Very true in my case. ;)
All but three now are pipped, so hopefully we get to see more cute little...
