I was given some Wazine-17 for worming my flock, but the lowest dosage is for "Each 100 birds", being 1oz. per 1gallon of water, I only need to worm my 4 outside hens... will putting an entire gallon of mixture in the coop harm my hens???? HELP!!!
I have 4 pullets(7 weeks) and 3 chicks(1 week), I am still giving the older ones medicated crumbles. They do eat a lot, so i invest in the larger bags, so i don't end up paying more by buying several 5# bags. hope this helps.
I live in Kingsport, TN and there are currently no city ordinances against having chickens inside our city limits. Not a huge city, but a city nonetheless. Good luck w/ your case(I hope you win)
most of the people i have talked to actually prefer the larger crumble type to the "mash". I have been using the crumbles and my 1 week old chicks are doing quite well on it. hope this helps.
I live in East Tennesse, so we are pretty close. If I'm right Humidity is your main problem, right? I plan to install an exhaust fan to replace one of the vents in my girls' coop. That should pull enough air to increase airflow through their coop and thus keep them more comfortable. Hope this helps.
I'm sorry you have hateful neighbors. I have one of those myself... I literally had to get a statement from the City Attorney that stated that there was no ordinance against having hens before i started my flock. Good luck, I hope everything works out.
We have had ours on medicated feed just to give their immune systems time to toughen up. The older ones are about to be 8 weeks old, and we are going to take them off this week. If they haven't built up immunities by now they never will. I hope this helps. Good luck!
