LOL That is eggsactly how I was raised! Only all those easy meals, my mom is unable to cook! I had to start learning to cook at 7 so that I could eat the stuff going in my mouth. Ive never tolerated pbjs, so that food wasn't a dinner option. lol
My kids wont eat those kind of easy...
Wuhoo! Happy birthday DD!
We're celebrating too... The girls went to gramma's house for the night, so I went and got steakfinger dinner for Jim, I had a double meat, double cheese, bacon jalapeno burger and tater tots. lol Oh and milkshakes!
The oldest has been begging for potato salad since Christmas. I'm thinking, yesterday was 91, today is supposed to be similar enough, she got to wear a dress to school, so I'll do sloppy jo's and potato salad.
What stinks about the whole move to Maine thing we're going to do this summer.. I have to totally readjust the food budget.
I'm going from spending maybe $5 for a lb of hb meat ... to paying around $8 for that same pound... ughh
where would I find jalapenos in Maine anyways??? lol
I've tried...
Happy birthday to youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
Tonight was bacon swiss cheeseburgers with lettuce, tomato, jalp's, sauteed onions, and onion rings on the side.. Wow! I did good! lol
boiled cabbage n onion with sliced up lil smokies.
Gotta get the fridge thinned out. Food is waiting on me to be inspired. I'm waiting on the food to inspire me... guess I need to find a happy medium....
I turned my something chicken into a deep dish chicken pot pie..
I sub'd in spinich, broccoli, diced potatoes, cheese, onion....instead of celery, peas, leeks and carrots, and whatever else the recipe called for. lol
Aneesa, on your version of corn chowder, how many sweet potatoes have you...

I'm doing something chicken, that is, if Redfeathers forgets to set my place... lol
Taco night at our house.
I've just not been in the mood to cook lately. My poor girls had to suffer through a night of pb&j sandwiches the other night.
Just hope these stress levels go down in the next two weeks. Yeah right, they're gonna go through the roof! (moving stress..yayy)
Oh, did I miss the memo this time... it was mexican night? hmm oooppps. lol we did cheesy shepherd's pie.
Still dont feel like eating or cooking.. too much danged stress!
Well, I always (for the past 5 years) gone and gotten Jim and the girls a lobster a piece for Valentines day. Not sure if that's what we'll do this year. Probably since it is the tradition now. Or we might not since we will be moving to lobster capital within a month...
If not, it will be...
Jim is the one that told me to use the english muffins for the pizza dough.
Trust me, I'd never heard of doing it that way either!
We had leftover lasagna tonight, no where in the mood to actually cook!
