Quote: You should go! It is really cool and there is a lot to do. I've considered selling my feather earrings there that I make from my chickens' feathers, but it is too expensive to afford a spot.. Have you considered going in with some other people and sharing a spot? That could lessen...

Does anyone here know of how toxic wild Nightshade is in Oregon? I have the variety with the clusters of purple hanging flowers growing all over in the area where the spring goes through that I am trying to utilize for the ducks so that I can free up some water.... going nuts!

Well, as you all may know, there wasn't any precip. last night. I think instead of bucketing water to my ducks, I am going to move my ducks to the water.... LOL. I've never been to the Country Fair, always considered going but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Quote: ugh!! That does NOT sound like fun! Especially going up and down the hill to the scovies! LOL, yeah that driveway of mine was a deal breaker for a few of the potential buyers when it was on the market. My Brother's friend almost made an offer, but couldn't get past how steep that...

Yay Chicks~ I'm in Myrtle Creek, South of Roseburg. That storm is definantly rolling in and the humidity just jumped to about 100% from the feel of it . LOL, reminds me of Indiana in the summer time. We'll get it fixed up soon enough. And if it dumps enough rain my tank will recover enough...

OMG it's hot! Looks like a thunderstorm on the horizon though, so hopefully it will break and cool off. My birds are hot, panting and the worse part is that we are out, as in OUT, of water. I have to bucket it from the spring. The water flow into out storage tank is next to nil, and we had a...

I am in Myrtle Creek, around the Roseburg area. It was that kind of rain that reminds you that much of Oregon is truly a rain forrest. I had rivers running down my driveway all afternoon. I am ready for summer! My husband was running errands in Roseburg and he said it was only a true...

HI, Eggbreakfast! Welcome!! I don't know about sexing EE's, but I am suspecting that one of ours is a cockrell as well. Which would be okay. Maybe when they start laying we can hatch some babies.

Apparently I am not the only one who has a hard time resisting the "bin o' bantams" because my husband just came home with four! Knowing nothing about them, I am guessing two are cochins (maybe even blues), one is a porcelin d'uncle, and the other is still a mystery except for the fluffy feet.

Quote: I don't know where they get their chicks, but the Grange Co-op in Grants Pass sure had a lot of variety and soooo cute. I can't tell you how hard it was to resist those bantams!

Who cares about the house, I'm with you and it's all about the property. A house can be modified at anytime, that's just a material item, the property is the value. I wish my husband were as much about the country living as I am, but he's a city boy, born and raised right here in Portland...

Quote: My business is a whole lot of fun most of the time. Since the dogs are not kept in cages, but instead play free in groups, they are not stressed so I'm not usually too stressed. However, Spring Break last week was out of control! 17 dogs here!! People are still traveling even though the...

Myrtle Creek is 199 miles south of you on I-5. Just a bit south of Roseburg. Is Damascus outside of the Metro area?
