These are both perfectly normal .. by the time they are grown you probably wont be able to tell which one has the vaulted skull. The one without can have just a nice a crest as the other one depending on the genetics of the parents.
Gees, I just cant see this. Not from the genetics involved, but from the hatches I had from this pair. Another interesting thing is that the Partridge hens eggs were darker than my other hens eggs... but of course color is relative to what you are comparing to. I never had them with anything...
Very cute, Love the puppy as well.... I have a blue Brindle Domino girl "Ophelia" she just turned 2 :) I think there is a sizzle thread here somewhere. You might try there and take some more close up pictures.
My Boy that everyone thought was a girl until he was about 5 months old is trying to breed everything he sees at 6 months lol! Hopefully we will get some fertile eggs when he figures out which end is which :)
He is actually blacker than the pictures.. i hate taking pictures of blacks lol! I have a heard time getting the lighting to show the true color. He is lacking foot feather a bit.. dont like that but will work with it for the type. I will certainly look up Marty Mcguire :)
No it makes you a good neighbor How nice of you to introduce them to chickens and how much fun they are!! I am changing over my breeding program to Blacks and B/S only .
Such a good answer to this Question. There is nothing like a beautiful very dark black with the green sheen! Im not afraid of black from BBS.. they are genetically
Black not dark blue and some of them very nice and dark but breeding back to a nice black from generations of black breeding is...
