Everyone has such good looking chicks! My Silky has rejected the silver chick I slipped under her yesterday. The chick seems to be having a problem walking so that may be why.

Scratch that! Gracie was attacking the babies. Had to bring them back in. Odd, last time she was broody I was able to give her chicks anywhere from just hatched to 1 wk old. She took on 8 babies to join the two she hatched. But not this time. Oh well.......

I don't know for sure. I bought eggs from a gal who has Buff Orphington, Light Brahma, Silver Laced Wyandotte, EE, Araucana. I believe the Roos are BO, LB. There was a 3rd roo but I forget what he is. I'm guessing the 3 white chicks are LB's.

Just came in from standing guard while my chickens free ranged for an hour. Found another white chick sitting on it's behind in 1/2 of its shell. Took egg out of the carton & laid it down & chick wiggled out of the shell. That's 5 today.

Locked up my chickens for the night a bit ago. The hen I thought was going Broody again is still sitting in the nest box. Guess I'll move her tomorrow where she can brood w/out being bothered by the rest of the flock. Congrats on all the hatching chicks! Hope mine does as well.
