    Hi. My silver sebright roo has mites. i have dusted him. He has some eggs at the base of a couple feathers. I know i have read that you are supposed to cut these feathers off. But hes so small! what should i do? [/qu Never heard that before. Can u just reapply dust in a week or so.

    I usually dont mix chicks once the oldest chicks are over 6 weeks old. The older chicks will pick on the younger ones. I wait until the youngest chicks are around 10 weeks old before I put them in with older chicks. And only if they have lots of space to get away.

    Mine usually lay 3 eggs per week during the Spring, then its over. A hatchery bird might lay better.

    You can just look at the eggs for sale on Ebay. There are a lot of poor quality birds.
