I will add the eggs that we eat and from what everyone else says only stay around two weeks at the most before they are eaten. So I don't know how long they would last in the fridge fixed like that. Me personally I wouldn't eat anything that has been sitting around for months. Blech!

I do the mineral oil on mine if I wash them. To wash I take running water just ever so slightly warmer then room temp scrub them and dry them on a towel, then use finger tips dipped in mineral oil to put a very thin coat on them, then roll them gently in the palm of my hand to even everything...
