Here is my favorite hen thus far. Mainly because she is so sweet. Hopefully she will grow out nice enough to breed.
This is my second favorite because she is a trouble maker.
Good question! Also what harm is there in getting a band that maybe a bit too big?
Also have a question about combs. My blue cockerel has a crimped looking area near the back if his comb. The black cocks don't have this. Is it a serious fault? He still has a lot of growing to do yet.
Hey Blarney, have no idea what the top one is. She was thrown in the isle with the orps and marked English division/class like the orps were. I just really liked her color. Poor thing had an egg she was guarding too. What hen goes broody at a fair?
That is good to know. I told my husband if that is what you can expect at a show I will never take my birds. Perhaps I should go to an APA show just to see what it is all about.
Went to the KY state fair today. Man,most of the birds looked rough. Guess it was the stress of all those people. Any how, these two ladies caught my eye. No idea who they belong to.
Ripping off your picture is unethical as all get out. I have to agree with Christabelle, in a strange way it is a compliment. Perhaps they did not think people from over here would be talking to people over there and they would get away with it.
