So far we have one duckling out, another pipped and 9 more to go. Hatch day is supposed to be the 20th. None of the chicks have pipped yet.

Yesterday while checking our cows, we found a young Teal duck hen injured by a snapping turtle. She could not fly, but was fast on her feet. Apparently she had been injured earlier in the morning because the bleeding had stopped. Her breast skin was torn in a three corner tear from her breast...

I'm not Ravyn, but a mule duck is one that is sterile due to genetics....just like the offspring of a Mammoth Jack over a horse. A mule is unable to have babies.
