I like the little bird bowls that hang on the side, and use hamster bottles for the water. If you carefully clip out a couple of bars and file them (the edges are sharp!), you could hang the food on the outside.

I mix my own to avoid soy, but I have definitely noticed the prices creeping up on the ingredients I use! I've made a few changes and managed to keep it under $20 per 50 lbs at 16%.
