how old is your un millefleured milliefleur?! You will probably find more white will show through after first moult. Though looks partridge based so might stay that way x
hiya. You will probably get a mixture of black, blue and black and blue mottled. But it would depend on the parent birds do you know what colours they were?
he has interesting colouration. Which project are you growing him out for? I have had a couple of similar one from a millefleur roo and a blue hen. Not sure what the breeding was behind the roo though as he came from a pen with a variety of mottled as well as mf.
I know but the resolution on my smartphone and touchscreen meant everytime I tried to click the text it scrolled to the top of the screen and I gave up in the end!
It wont let me edit my post on my phone. I hit reply before I had finished. Simple fact is the photos are not of cochin bantams. There are plenty of places to share pictures of mixed chickens on byc. I for one am interested in learning about cochin bantams and not really interested in seeing...
What wonderful frizzles everyone is doing so well with their projects its great and really helps me to learn particularly when I see the parents and then what they produce. Went really gooey over your blue mottled frizzles Amy. And caesar is another favourite! I will post some more pics when...
Hi there. I use an eglu and extended run for groups of 4 pekins. I have 3 groups but let one group free range each day so they go out twice a week. Hope this helps.
Who likes my blue millefleur pekin chick?!
looks like a girl so far fingers crossed!
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I dont think its going to be a frizzle either. Usually the wing feathers curl upwards by about 10days. I also think it 'might' be a boy but definitely wait on that one its very early to tell I just have a hunch!
bargain! They r proper cute. How old r they? The missing feathers are probably just from feather pecking. If you give them a bit of extra protein in their diet then the feathers will grow back nicely at their next moult. Are your silkies large fowl? X
thats him his feathers are beautiful but hes got a funny comb and his wing carriage is rubbish! Hes very sweet though and I want some frizzley babies so he can stay!
