Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

I bought a pair of porcelain oegs this summer. I tried hatching her eggs and none were fertile. I assumed the rooster was too young or something so I put her in my mixed pen, which is mostly mille fluers. She always laid in the same nest so I thought I knew which eggs were hers and thought I'd...

Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

I don't know genetics but I believe she is called a splash and if you want more like her, cross her with your blue? Maybe someone else can give you a more definite answer.

Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

My sister raises Seramas which are even smaller. So cute!

Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

Very pretty little birds. I don't know a whole lot about the colors and crosses but they look like maybe a blue red cross with crele? Or maybe blue red with barred? Or possibly lemon blue crosses? Probably not an established color but I think I would hatch some of their eggs just to see if they...

Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

A pullet is a female chicken that is a year old or younger. Some people will consider them hens as soon as they start laying while others don't count them as hens until after the year mark. Same with the cockerel.

Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

I'm pretty sure it's a cockerel, but it is not a silver duckwing. Silver duckwings shouldn't have any red on them. Hard to tell with the pictures but I would guess maybe a ginger or some cross?

Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

You will get a few squabbles until they decide who's boss but usually they will get along without bloodshed when raised together. At least I haven't had any issues.

Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a Miele Grey? Never heard of them, tried google and it came up with vacuums.

Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

No, it's not the mom. She was a very good mama last year so I thought I'd let her have another batch this year. She's doing great this year with all the cold and rain we're getting, she's keeping them warm and fed.

Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

I think I might be figuring out the blue, that is what I was thinking. Another question, though, I have a chocolate hen, has anyone crossed chocolate with mille and what would happen with that? Thanks very much for your answers.

Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

I still haven't figured it out. What percent of what do you get with a mille fleur rooster and a blue mille fleur hen? Thanks in advance.

Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

Could someone tell me what color the legs should be on a mille fleur oegb?

Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

I've posted this request in a couple of other threads and thought that I'd try here also: I don't know if anyone can help me but I went to the Waverly, Iowa swap this spring and saw a trio of mille fleur OEGBs. With our late, late spring in Minnesota, I really didn't have a place to put them so...

Hello! and welcome to the OEGB thread.

I think dubbing them makes them look that way. I think they look so much nicer with a nice comb. I wish the shows would let them be either way.

I always forget to look at the leg color. Thanks for reminding me.
