Why is it that the males always seem to have the leakage? I got lucky, 11 chicks from Once In A Blue Moon...6 hens, 5 roos...only 2 are showing leakage. They are true beauties!!!
When trying to sex nine week old lavender chicks, is it best to go by the comb? Or is it still too early? All their feathers look pretty much the same.
Thanks
Question, i have 18 6 wk old Lav Am that i bought from a reputable breeder. None of my 18 seem to have good beard and muffs. Does this grow in later or get fuller..or what they have they have.
Thank you
Anyone ever buy chicks from Once in a Blue Moon Farmstead in Leoma TN? I think the breeders name is Lindsay Helton. Wondering about her quality.
Thank you
You can try
Sawmill is where my pullets are from and I was hoping to get the roo from a different breeder to help the genetics....but might not be possible
Where did you get the young Roo, I have been looking for one and really need one from a different breeder than where my Pullets came from. I live up near St. Louis, but I'm down in Farmington/ Sainte Genevieve all the time in Missouri
I was suppose to get 3 pullets from the breeder, but i believe i have a roo in the bunch. He/she is 8-10 wks old. What do you all think? (The photos are all the same bird)
Hi! I'm planning to get my chickens from Sawmill. They're the closest to my location in Jacksonville FL. How was you're experience with them?

I just had 3 pullets shipped to me in Missouri from them. They are perfect!!! Great people to deal with.
