So, 4 is my final count out of 6 from lockdown (not bad, I guess) out of 11 originally set. I'm happy that my babies are out and seem ok. I can see how people get addicted to these little things. They are the epitome of CUTE!
Second time hatching, but last time was in my classroom. So, it's like the first time. The humidity is only 66% or so. Temp is at 98. They are doing great. I have one trying to hatch now.
Ok, peeps, it's been over 8 hours and very little progress here. UGH! I can hear peeping, though. I'm wondering when the babies are coming out! My little friend had to go home and was so sad she didn't get to see one hatching.
THE BABIES ARE COMING! One is pipping now......5 more to go......This is my first time seeing one actually hatch and my roommate's sister (9) is thrilled to be here to see it, too!

I am new here, but I've done research on that....if you want her to get up and break broody, then what I've done with a hen that wouldn't leave her nest is put her in a dog cage (took the base out, so just cage underneath her and put it on two chairs, so only air underneath)....I gave her water...
I set mine on the 29th, but I am celebrating and counting along with you all. This is only my second hatch EVER. I'm hoping to have some silkies, Aracauna mix with New England, and Cochin mixes. ALso, I am trying to be a little "dryer" this time in humidity to up my hatch rate from 2/12...
