WOW. That is A LOT to deal with. These are times you will look back on and know they made you stronger. At the time it seems like you are not going to make it though. Been there.
Drive that RV on up to Nashville. There is work here. Nowhere to live, but plenty of work.
I bought some Queen Silvia's on the rare breed auction last night. Does anyone have experience with them? I already have 9- 3 week olds and they seem to come in both silver and gold? I thought GFF only brought over the silver though. Maybe they are auto sexing and that is the color difference...
Chick Pics-
I ended up with 28. I had to go somewhere and didn't turn the incubator off. Came home and another one had hatched. That was Tuesday. The first one in that incubator hatched Friday. Very strange!
Final count 27. Started with 72.
None hatched in the incubator that was down to 65 degrees at day 8 even though they developed to lockdown. I'm sure it was for the best they didn't hatch if they were that affected. That is also the Brinsea that needs to go back to the company. It is going to...
Welcome!
We are about to go into lockdown in a few days and have a bunch of babies for Easter. You are just in time to see a bunch of cute chickies...and devilish ducks.
There is also an April Hatch along starting up in a few days.
Welcome!
You can certainly come along for the ride!
We set our eggs back on March 4-5ish and are getting ready to go into lockdown. There is another hatch along beginning in April also. You could finish up with us and get ready for the April hatch.
There will be a bunch of baby pictures...
They are ADORABLE! It would be easy to get hooked on them. 'specially like the blue and yellow ones. I better not come see them, some would probably jump in my car.
Moved more chicks out of the house last night to a raised outside brooder on the porch and the ones in that brooder graduated to...
@RavynFallen
What is your current duck count, Oh Queen of the Call Ducks?
I will have to see those little cuties in person sometime! Could you post some baby call duck pictures plz?
If they don't explode, no danger. Keep sniffing your incubator frequently if you decide not to take them out. By day 15 you should know if they are going to develop though.
Shhhhhhhhhhhh! If you don't speak it maybe it won't happen.
After all these 70-80 degree days I AM SPOILED!
Had to pull the winter coat back out this morning. After shorts last week it was depressing. Yes, I'm spoiled.
