My dried shelled runners don't go wrinkly... Just firm and dry to the touch... In a paper envelope I think they'd be able to keep drying... I've dried them on a screen before too, works well

Wow that's only the second time I've ever heard of chowchow... This year I told my grandpa I pickled green tomatoes and he said oh we used to call the chowchow.
