    from what I have heard, the Egyptian Fayoumi will start crowing very early. I don't have any personal experience with them though. Also, I have heard they are great flyers.

    I think some of the best Sumatra in the country are from the west coast. if you like them, (and I don't know why you wouldn't, they are a great breed.) you should be able to aquire some good ones without too much problem.

    not the Sumatra comb. it's a mix are the bottom of the feet yellow? the Sumatra genes seem to dominate,(at least that has been my experience.) I have a pullet that can't possibly have any more than a quarter Sumatra, yet looks a lot like the sop.

    that all depends on the birds. I leave them with the mum until she loses interest in them, when possible. play it by ear, give them plenty of room.

    spangle the top of her beak broke off sometime, somehow. I was told she'll be ok and the beak will grow back eventually.

    I got hatching eggs from a gentleman from Puerto Rico that has been doing games for 65 years. with it's size though, I gotta believe it's an American, or mostly. he roosts in his own tree, not in the tree a bunch(6-7) of others roost in.
