Thanks so much for all the great info! I live close to sandhill and have red dorkings from them! I was hoping to get a different line to add to my breeding program! I have been extremely happy with sandhill, I also have cuckoo dorkings from them..I am just looking to get closer to standard.

Is there anyone near eastern Iowa that would part with a show or near show quality Red Dorking roo.?

These are chicks from my Cuckoo roo over cuckoo single comb, and red rose comb hens. All were bought from Sandhill Preservation center which is about 30 minutes away. Right now I have a hen on some RCR due to hatch in a couple of days. Hopefully I will get a great roo from them, and breed them...

My Dorkings from a few posts ago all came from Sandhill. I doubt if they are show quality, but they are healthy, and non aggressive, and lay a good amount of eggs.

Here are pictures of my Cuckoo Dorkings! (plus some fillers that I think are white dorkings). Is there anyway to sex them? some seem to have a totally black head, while others just have a dot. The flash makes some look like they have yellow legs, but they are really white.

I got them at Sand Hill Preservation Center in Calamus, Iowa. I will post pictures soon! Healthy and sweet. They threw in a couple of white dorkings and a black dorking as fillers! I also got my Red Dorkings there last year. Very satisfied!

Just got 10 Cuckoo Dorkings! Adorable! Can't wait to start on my Creole project with my Red Dorking Roo!
